Ingredients:
For the Shrimp:
1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
For the Alfredo Sauce:
2 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: pinch of Cajun or red pepper flakes for heat
Pasta:
8 oz (225g) spaghetti or fettuccine, cooked al dente
Reserved 1/2 cup pasta water (optional)
Garnish:
Chopped parsley
Extra grated Parmesan
Optional: drizzle of Alfredo or ranch on top (as seen in photo)
👨🍳 Instructions:
1. Cook the Pasta:
Boil pasta in salted water until al dente.
Drain and set aside. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water if needed for thinning the sauce.
2. Sauté the Shrimp:
Toss shrimp in Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt & pepper.
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and slightly charred. Remove and set aside.
3. Make the Alfredo Sauce:
In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat.
Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
Stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth.
Season with salt, pepper, and a little Cajun spice if desired.
4. Combine:
Add cooked pasta into the sauce.
Toss gently to coat. Add pasta water as needed to loosen.
Top with the seared shrimp.
5. Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle with parsley, more Parmesan, and drizzle with a bit of extra Alfredo or ranch.
