My Apple Fritter Donut is swirled with a sweet apple filling. Apple Fritters made on a Blackstone Griddle tastes amazing with their dark brown crispy shell and a soft flavorful center.

Ingredients
- Apples 3 each
- Sugar, Granulated 1/2 cup
- Water 1/2 cup
- Flour, All Purpose 2 tablespoons
- Cinnamon, Ground 1/2 tablespoons
- Bread Dough, 18 rolls. 1 1/2 lbs (681 g)
- Oil, For deep frying
- Sugar, Powdered 2 cups
- Milk 1/4 cup
- Vanilla 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions
- Thaw frozen dinner rolls or bread loaf dough and let it rise per the directions on the package.
- Dice the apples into small pieces, place in a pan with the sugar, water, flour and cinnamon. Cook on the Blackstone Griddle until the apples are soft. Remove from the heat. If you want, you can use a can of apple pie filling instead of cooking your apples down.
- When the dough is ready, cut or break the dough into small pieces.
- Place the dough into a KitchenAid mixer and add the apple filling. Mix to combine. Do not over mix.
- Heat the oil to 375°F in a pan on the Blackstone Griddle.
- When the oil is ready, drop the apple fritter dough into the hot oil.
- Cook until the fritter is golden brown on one side and then flip. Fry the fritter until it is dark brown and completely cooked in the center.
- Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel lined plate.
- Mix all the ingredients together for the glaze. Dip the apple fritters into the glaze and coat completely.
- Place the fritters on a fire rack to dry.
