Ingredients:
2 slices garlic Texas toast (frozen or homemade)
1 chicken breast (thin sliced or shaved)
½ onion (sliced)
½ bell pepper or mushrooms (optional)
1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone
1–2 tbsp ranch dressing or white cheese sauce
1 tbsp oil or butter (for griddle)
🔥 Instructions:
1. Toast the Texas Toast:
Heat the Blackstone griddle to medium.
Butter both sides if using plain bread.
Toast both sides until golden and crispy.
Set aside.
2. Cook the Chicken:
Slice chicken into thin strips or use shaved chicken.
Toss on the hot griddle with a little oil.
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a little paprika.
Cook until browned and fully cooked.
3. Sauté Onions (and other veggies):
On the side, cook sliced onions (and peppers or mushrooms) in oil or butter.
Cook until caramelized and soft.
4. Combine + Melt:
Mix cooked chicken and veggies together on the griddle.
Top with shredded cheese.
Cover with a dome lid to melt the cheese fully.
5. Assemble the Sandwich:
Scoop cheesy chicken and onions onto one slice of toasted garlic bread.
Drizzle with ranch or melted white cheese sauce.
Top with the second slice of bread.
6. Final Toast (optional):
Put the whole sandwich back on the griddle and press it slightly.
Toast each side until crispy and melty.
✅ Extra Tips:
For creamy cheese sauce: melt provolone with a splash of cream or ranch.
