How to Sauté Broccoli on a Blackstone Griddle
- Preheat the Flat Top Blackstone Griddle to medium low heat. If using an Blackstone Electric Griddle, set the dial to 400°F.
- Place a thin layer of olive oil or a pat of butter onto the flat top griddle. You want to cook the broccoli pieces, low and slow.
- Once the griddle is hot, put the broccoli pieces onto the flat top.
- Use a squeeze bottle of water and have a griddle dome lid ready to cover the broccoli. Squirt about 2 tablespoons of water on and around the vegetable pieces.
- Cover with a dome lid to trap as much of the steam as possible to help sauté the broccoli. Let cook for several minutes and then check the broccoli to see how it is cooking.
- Toss the broccoli florets with a griddle spatula to prevent burning. Squirt more water onto the cooking vegetables and cover again. Cooking time will vary but will take about 5 – 10 minutes.
- Once the sautéed broccoli recipe has reached its desired tenderness, season to taste and top with your favorite topping.
