Ingredients:
1.5 lbs (700g) boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts (cut into bite-size pieces or strips)
1 tbsp oil (vegetable, sesame, or avocado oil)
Salt & pepper to taste
Sesame seeds & chopped green onions (for garnish)
🍯 Quick Teriyaki Sauce:
(or use bottled if you want fast)
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup water
3 tbsp brown sugar or honey
1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp minced ginger (optional)
2 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
🔥 Instructions:
1. Make the Sauce (if homemade):
In a saucepan, mix all sauce ingredients except cornstarch mix.
Bring to a simmer, then stir in cornstarch slurry.
Simmer 2–3 mins until thick. Set aside.
2. Prep the Griddle:
Preheat Blackstone on medium-high heat.
Oil the surface lightly.
3. Cook the Chicken:
Season chicken with salt & pepper.
Add to hot griddle and cook 6–8 minutes, flipping occasionally until golden and cooked through.
4. Add Sauce:
Pour teriyaki sauce over cooked chicken on the griddle.
Toss to coat and let it caramelize for 1–2 minutes.
5. Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
