Ingredients
1 pack Cattlemen’s Ranch Smashed Burgers (or any 100% beef patties, 4 oz each)
Burger buns (pretzel buns in your photo, or your choice)
Cheese slices (American, cheddar, or your favorite melting cheese)
Butter (for toasting buns)
Salt & pepper (if not pre-seasoned)
Optional toppings: bacon, pickles, onions, lettuce, tomato, burger sauce
Instructions
1. Preheat the griddle to medium-high heat (around 400°F).
2. Toast the buns: Lightly butter the inside of the buns and place them cut-side down on the griddle until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
3. Cook the patties:
Place a beef patty ball (or pre-formed patty) on the hot griddle.
Use a heavy spatula or burger press to firmly smash it down until about ¼ inch thick.
Season with salt & pepper (if needed).
4. Flip and add cheese: Cook 2–3 minutes until edges are crispy, then flip. Immediately place a slice of cheese on top and let it melt while the burger finishes cooking (another 1–2 minutes).
5. Assemble: Place cheesy patties on the toasted buns. Add toppings and sauces as desired.
6. Serve hot and enjoy those crispy, juicy edges!
