Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1/2 cup water
1 pack Hawaiian rolls or slider buns (12-count)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1–2 cups shredded lettuce
1–2 Roma tomatoes, sliced
Optional: mayonnaise, mustard, sour cream, or taco sauce
👨🍳 Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook the beef:
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
Drain fat, add taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
3. Prep the rolls:
Cut the whole sheet of rolls in half horizontally (keep the rolls connected if possible).
Place the bottom halves in a greased 9×13″ baking dish.
4. Layer it up:
Spread cooked taco meat evenly over the bottom buns.
Add a generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake for 10–15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
5. Top it off:
Once baked, remove from oven and top with shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes.
Add any condiments (mayo, sour cream, etc.) before placing on the top buns—or serve open-faced like in your photo.
6. Serve warm and enjoy!
