Ingredients (for 4 sandwiches)
8 slices of bread (Italian or white bread works best)
4 tbsp butter (softened)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or slices)
1/2 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)
20–24 slices of pepperoni (or your favorite pizza toppings)
Optional: Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder
Instructions
1. Preheat the griddle/skillet to medium heat.
2. Butter one side of each bread slice. This will be the outside that toasts.
3. Assemble the sandwich:
Place one slice of bread, butter side down.
Spread 1–2 tbsp of pizza sauce on the inside.
Add mozzarella cheese.
Layer with pepperoni (or other toppings).
Top with another slice of bread (butter side up).
4. Grill on the griddle until golden brown (about 3–4 minutes per side) and the cheese is melted.
5. Optional: Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning on the outside for extra flavor.
6. Serve hot with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
