alex January 28, 2025

Steamed crab is coated in garlic, butter, and white wine while being cooked on a gas griddle. The sauce gets in all the nooks and crannies of the crab and infuses the whole thing.

Total Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 pounds pre-cooked crab
  • 1 cup melted salted butter
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning blend
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 cup dry white wine

Instructions

  1. Preheat your griddle over medium heat.
  2. Place the crab on the griddle and season with the salt and Old Bay and toss to coat. Spoon on the garlic, and then drizzle with butter. Cook for a minute, using the tons to move the crabs and garlic butter around on the griddle.

  4. Using a bench scraper, keep scraping and spooning the wine/garlic/butter sauce over the top of the crabs.
