Bacon Double Cheese Burger on a Donut Bun

Bacon Double Cheese Burger on a Donut Bun

Ingredients:

1/2 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)

Salt & pepper

2 slices thick-cut bacon

1 slice cheddar cheese

1 slice Monterey Jack or provolone cheese

1 glazed or buttered donut (or a thick brioche bun with hole cut)

Butter (for toasting bun)

🔥 Instructions:

1. Prep the Bacon:

On the Blackstone (or skillet), cook bacon until crispy. Set aside on paper towel.

2. Smashburger Patty:

Form the beef into a loose ball (don’t pack it tight).

Place on the hot griddle, smash down with spatula.

Season with salt & pepper.

Cook ~2-3 minutes, then flip.

3. Add Cheese:

Right after flipping, add both slices of cheese.

Cover with a dome or lid to help melt the cheese.

4. Toast the Bun:

Slice your donut or brioche bun, butter the inside.

Toast cut-side down on the griddle until golden brown.

5. Assemble:

Bottom bun → burger with melted cheese → bacon strips → top bun (with that cool hole toasted!).

✅ Tips:

You can use a donut for sweetness, or a butter-toasted brioche with a cut-out.

Add a drizzle of maple syrup or spicy mayo for extra kick!
