Shrimp Lo Mein

Shrimp Lo Mein

Ingredients:
For the Lo Mein Sauce:
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup oyster sauce (or hoisin sauce for a similar flavor)
2 tbsp dark soy sauce (for color and richer flavor, optional)
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp white pepper
For the Stir Fry:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 lb fresh lo mein noodles (or dried egg noodles, cooked according to package directions)
2 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil, divided
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 cup broccoli florets, cut into small pieces
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup snap peas (or snow peas)
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
2 cups fresh spinach or bok choy, roughly chopped
4 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Equipment:
Blackstone Griddle
Spatulas/Scrapers
Large bowl for sauce
Bowls for prepped ingredients
Instructions:
Prepare the Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together all the lo mein sauce ingredients: soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce (if using), sesame oil, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and white pepper. Set aside.
